The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is a 2 ft gauge railway that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. Built between 1879 and 1881 the 'Toy Train' - as it is known - today only runs from Darjeeling to Ghum (India's highest railway station) pulled by one of the ancient steam engines.
